"Brain Briefs" Competition

The "Brain Briefs" competition is a unique contest session that will take place as part of the 2nd National Psychiatry Conference for Students and Doctoral Candidates, "Wymiary," scheduled for October 24-25, 2025.

The main goal of the competition is to develop skills in popularizing scientific knowledge and effectively communicating research findings. The competition is open to students and doctoral candidates conducting research related to mental health. Participants are required to present their research project in an accessible, engaging, and comprehensible manner, within a maximum of 3 minutes. In this way, the competition promotes clarity in scientific communication and the ability to captivate a broader audience with scientific topics.

Participants will present their research live, using only one static slide in the form of a graphical abstract. The presentation should last no more than 3 minutes, without the use of additional props, notes, or audiovisual aids. Participants are required to attend the conference in person.

The jury will evaluate the presentations based on the following criteria:

  • Clarity and comprehensibility of the message
  • Engagement and communication skills
  • Scientific content and graphical appeal
  • Practical relevance and significance of the research

Attractive prizes are planned for the winners, aiming to support their scientific and professional development.
